Understanding EV Car Charging

EV car charging might seem like a novel concept, but it’s as straightforward and crucial as filling up a traditional petrol or diesel car at the gas station. Only in this case, your fuel station could be right in your own garage. the goal is to make it as seamless as possible. Imagine starting each day with a full ‘tank’, courtesy of home charging, and knowing that public fast-charging stations are readily available when you’re on the road

By embracing EVs and understanding EV charging, you’re not only opting for a sustainable mode of transport, but you’re also preparing for a future that’s efficient, green, and forward-thinking.

EV Charging Home Installs

Home Car Charging refers to the use of residential electricity supply to recharge electric vehicles (EVs). As the most common charging method, it allows EV owners to conveniently power their vehicles at home, much like charging a mobile phone. Home charging provides a significant advantage for EV users, enabling them to start each day with a fully charged battery.

Home Car Charging provides a level of convenience that’s unparalleled, ensuring your EV is always ready when you are. As more people embrace electric mobility, home charging solutions are set to become an integral part of the EV ownership experience.

Fleet EV Charger Installs

Fleet EV Charging is a crucial aspect of the rapidly emerging electric vehicle (EV) industry, tailored to address the unique needs of commercial and public service vehicle fleets. As more businesses transition to EVs in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve efficiency, the demand for suitable charging solutions for these fleets increases.

By understanding Fleet EV Charging, businesses can better plan their transition to electric mobility, ensuring they have the infrastructure in place to keep their EVs running smoothly while achieving their sustainability goals.

Commercial Car Charger Installation

Commercial Car Charging refers to the process of providing EV charging services in public or commercial spaces. This can include a wide variety of settings such as shopping centres, hotels, office buildings & public parking. Unlike home charging, which primarily serves individual EV owners, commercial charging stations cater to a larger and more diverse group of users who require charging options while they’re away from home.

The primary goal of commercial car charging is to increase the accessibility and convenience of charging for EV owners. As the adoption of EVs continues to grow, the demand for accessible, reliable, and fast charging options in public places has also increased significantly.

The Workplace Charging Scheme

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) grant, financed by the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), enables businesses, charitable organizations, and local authorities to offset the expenses of installing EV charging points. Recipients can obtain up to £350 for each charging socket, which is applicable for the cost of EV charging station installation.

To qualify for this grant, businesses must provide dedicated off-street parking for their employees and can apply for funds to support the installation of up to 40 sockets across all their locations. It’s important to note that the WCS grant is only applicable to the initial round of charging point installations. Any subsequent installations will not be eligible for the funding.
